Poland currently operates Su-22's, F-16's and MiG-29's as frontline operational aircraft. Their MiG-29's are planned to undergo a mid-life upgrade which will see them continue to operate until approximately 2020, by which time it is anticipated the Polish Air Force will look to replace them with 24-32 multi-role aircraft. Eurofighter is exhibiting Eurofighter Typhoon as a prospective candidate for this future competition, building upon the current joint operations of the RAF and Polish Air Force.

Four Eurofighter Typhoon's are currently operating alongside four Polish MiG-29's to provide Baltic air policing from Lithuania.
