15 January 2009 - Eurofighter is a Hot Topic
There have been several interesting articles in the press concerning Eurofighter Typhoon in the last couple of days, one is a great update on Eurofighter and one is related to the pending Tranche 3 contract.
Aviation Week have published a nice programme status on their Blog, "Eurofighter Typhoon - The world’s biggest fighter program” that highlights the many milestones achieved in 2008 and looks forward at 2009. For more information on the article, please click here.
The second story was in Defense News yesterday, where EADS’s Defence and Security head Dr. Stefan Zoller is quoted as demanding a commitment to the pending Tranche 3 contract for Eurofighters from the EPCs. The article states that Dr. Zoller has insisted on an agreement being reached by the end of the first quarter of 2009 in order to avoid incurring substantial costs and an interruption to the production line.
