Info - New issue of ‘Eurofighter World’ magazine
Wednesday, 25. July 2012
A new issue of the Eurofighter World Magazine has been launched and yet again comes with 22 pages full of latest information and images from Eurofighter Typhoon and the programme.
This second edition for 2012 is a significant one for Eurofighter Typhoon as we provide details of the long-awaited Phase 1 Enhancement programme known as P1E that will see upgrades to the aircraft’s operational capability and see a step change in Typhoon’s multi-role capabilities. The magazine also includes an interesting article on multi-role fighter design and looks at the cutting edge performance and operational affordability of the EJ200 engine.
Also in this issue is news from the Eurofighter Typhoon squadrons on deployment from across our six air forces. The RAF has been preparing for this summer’s Olympic Games in London which will showcase the vital air defence role the aircraft plays across our customer nations during this high-profile sports event, the Italian Air Force made the transition to operating solely with Eurofighter Typhoons in the role of national air defence and new Typhoon Squadrons have been announced for the Spanish Air Force as well as the RAF.
Also in this issue is a report on deployment of 8 Eurofighter Typhoons of the German Air Force to Alaska in May where they joined the challenging Red Flag exercise and demonstrated outstanding performance in a competitive environment which you won’t want to miss.
There is also a special feature on the back pages from the RAF Typhoon Display Team which includes ribbon diagrams and commentary that describes the spectacular display currently being performed at air shows throughout the summer by Squadron Leader Scotty Loughran from RAF 6 Squadron.
